What we are looking for We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our Finance department, based in our offices at the racecourse in Ascot, Berkshire. What you’ll be doing • Assisting with accounts payable processing. • Working with the Accounts Payable Executive. • Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor. • This role is key to the team as it is very much a support and processing role. Responsibilities • Checking, coding and posting a high volume of purchase invoices to our accounting system (Iris Financials). • Matching invoices to purchase orders and distributing invoices for authorisation prior to booking to the suppliers' account within the system. • Supporting the AP Executive with supplier queries through the Accounts Payable email inbox. • Scanning and filing of invoices. • Checking all company statements received agree with our records. Investigate, as necessary, any outstanding items by liaising with companies and departmental staff. • Being a point of contact for all relevant enquiries. • Assist with ad-hoc accounts analysis and support. Qualification, skills and experience • Good numeracy skills and ability to communicate professionally through verbal and written channels. Training and mentoring will be given to the successful candidate.
