40 Hours Per Week Salary £27,000.00 per annum Company Description The Award Winning, The HAPPA Café, is owned by registered charity - Horses and Ponies Protection Association - HAPPA, at Shores Hey Farm, Burnley, Lancashire. The Spacious modern building offers a welcoming and modern eatery, the perfect place to spend a day out or away from the office. Located in the countryside affording spectacular views of the Thursden Valley and the rolling hills. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Cafe Supervisor located in Burnley. The Cafe Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily operations of the cafe, ensuring high standards of customer service, managing inventory, and maintaining cleanliness. Additional responsibilities include supervising staff, scheduling shifts, training new employees, and handling cash transactions. The role also involves menu planning and liaising with suppliers. The HAPPA Cafe is a popular destination for local customers, community groups and businesses. The Cafe has increased footfall during the school holidays due to being situated amongst the charity's horse rescue centre which is open to the public seven days a week. Qualifications • Customer Service and Communication skills • Experience in Inventory Management and Cash Handling • Supervisory and Team Management skills • Menu Planning and Supplier Coordination skills • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities • Ability to work independently and take initiative • Previous experience in the food and beverage industry is a plus • Relevant certifications in food safety and hygiene are advantageous Person Specification The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent communication and customer care skills. Have a natural ability to inspire and motivate a team and stay calm in times of busy service.
