Equestrian Groom and Cleaner

Due to happy circumstances we now have a vacancy for someone to join our team at Maddybenny. Duties • Duties will include a mixture of yard work with the horses, and cleaning work in our cottages and campsite (70/30 split) • Yard work would include: mucking out, catching and turning out horses, grooming and riding (not essential but potential for the right candidate) assisting at shows and managing/helping liveries with their queries regarding their horses. • The Cottage/campsite work would include: Changing over and cleaning the cottages between bookings, and keeping the campsite facilities and yard clean and tidy at all, times Skills The right candidate should be competent in all aspects of horse care, and confident working with competition horses. Have a good knowledge of equine welfare and ailments. Previous experience is preferred , however an enthusiastic attitude, speedy efficiency, attention to detail and a sense of humour are very important! Hours of work The hours would be 16 hours per week, with the potential to increase for the right candidate. This will include some weekend work, which will include 1 Saturday and 1 Sunday per month on a rota basis Job Type: Part-time Pay: £12.21-£12.50 per hour Expected hours: 14 – 20 per week Additional pay: • Performance bonus Benefits: • Casual dress • Company pension • Free parking • On-site parking Schedule: • Flexitime • Weekend availability Expected start date: 02/06/2025
