Primary responsibility is all Equine care and farm/small animal care including reptiles, and to support Land requirements linked to the animals.

You will be reporting into the Land Support Manager for day-to-day line management. Part time 16 Hours per week, 2 days: Sunday (lone working) & Monday.

ADO Therapy is a small specialist and evolving private company providing interventions and therapy pathways into education for children, young people and adults with animals, wildlife and nature.

We are a sister company to ADO River Valley which is a small special independent school on the same site specialising in SEMH and this role will also support the school students with interventions appropriate to their EHCP if and when required. The young person referrals may have experienced trauma and/or abuse and be LAC. Presentations include anger, anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, LD, neurodiverse, behavioural issues.

Duties to include (and not limited to): - All Equine and Animal Care (routine/s training) provided including stable maintenance, enclosure repairs/risk management/stock control etc - This role holds responsibility for equine, animals, reptiles and vertebrates care and welfare, so you must have experience working with horses to include but not limited to: mucking out, leading, grooming, hoof picking, muck picking, rugging and fitting fly masks depending on seasons, general yard management and maintenance. - Regular Animal welfare health check and monitoring, administrating medication when required or seeking line management and or professional veterinary advice where directed and follow up.

Land and Buildings support and maintenance for Equine and Animal Zones. including yard and barn management.

Essential skills: - Qualifications in Equine care/management minimum level 3 - Proven experience working in a yard/equine groom role, for a minimum of 3 years - Equine knowledge, confidence and experience, understanding varying horse behaviour including herd dynamics - Confidence on phone calls to manage suppliers and arranging vet visits - Full driving license and access to vehicle for small animal vet visit requirements

All Equine and Animal Care (routine/s training) provided including stable maintenance, enclosure repairs/risk management/stock control etc. This role holds responsibility for equine, animals, reptiles and vertebrates care and welfare. Therefore you must be comfortable caring for farm animals and reptiles including snakes and tarantulas, as well as full horse care. This list of "Roles" is not intended to be limiting. Salary: Salary: Salary based on NHS Band pay scale: Unqualified role: £10.30 p/h to £13.60 p/h (Band 3) NLW & relevant qualification and experience dependent People with higher relevant qualifications and experience please approach direct.
