We’re seeking experienced Equine Tutors with in-depth horse knowledge and confident handling skills to play a key role in supporting students through practical learning. Your expertise with horses is essential to creating a safe, engaging, and meaningful environment where young people can thrive. Many of our students face personal challenges, and working with horses provides them with powerful, therapeutic, and educational experiences. A energetic, forward thinking and dynamic approach is needed and a genuine interest in education, health, or social care are highly beneficial. Training and development are available for the right person. You may be required to work with other animals such as goats and chickens. This is a part-time, term-time only role, with flexible working options available. Proven experience in horse care, handling, and husbandry is essential, along with confidence and competence in working with a variety of horses in a hands-on environment. A strong understanding of equine behaviour, safety, and welfare is vital to ensure a high standard of practice. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to support and guide students through both practical and theoretical equine-based activities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, combined with a compassionate, adaptable approach to working with young people, are key. While experience in education, social care, or working with young people is desirable, it is not essential, as full training and support will be provided.
