A challenging and varied role. You must be comfortable around horses and able to hold, trot up, lunge and preferably ride although the latter is not essential. You will look after horses at the practice, help the vets and nurses with our in-patients and occasionally out on the road. This will involve procedures such as x-rays, scans, scopes and lameness investigations. The job involves helping to keep the practice clean, tidy and well-maintained including the riding arena, paddock, car park and frontage. Yard duties will involve mucking out and feeding and watering.
Hours of Work between 7.30 am and 7.00pm, on an early, mid or late shift, Monday to Friday with a 30-minute lunch break each day equating to 40 hours per week. One weekday duty night per week on call with practice phone on a Wednesday.
Experience:
• Equine Handling : 3 years (required)
