equine yard assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Assistant to support our operations in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will possess a range of skills that include horse care, and stable management This role requires physical stamina for mucking out stables and the ability to tack up different horses/ ponies efficiently . If you are enthusiastic about working outdoors and have a passion for hands-on tasks, we would love to hear from you. Responsibilities • Assist in mucking out • Provide care for animals, ensuring their well-being and proper feeding. • get horses in from fields and turn out. • tack up horses and ponies ready for working them • assist with carriage driving horses , holding them while being `put too`. no experience necessary of carriage driving but must be experienced handling horses • Maintain a clean and organised work environment. Qualifications • Previous experience in horse care and stable management • able to work alone or with others • Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) as required by the role. • Experienced rider an advantage but not essential • A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and task completion.
