About the role
The Estates department is responsible for providing healthy, sustainable grassland and a suitable living environment for around 240 horses. They provide high quality care of land covering 600 acres, which includes but is not limited to; herbicide use, fertiliser application and nutrient management, grass drilling, manure management, tree health and infrastructure management such as fencing replacement and trackway maintenance.
The Supervisor will oversee the work carried out by the team to ensure the land is maintained to a high standard, efficiently and in line with relevant regulations. They will also work closely with the equine teams to develop key areas of land care and equine support, to ensure that our land and environment meets the needs of our equines.
The ideal candidate will:
· Have at least 1 year’s previous experience of working in a supervisory role
· Have strong demonstrable knowledge of grassland management
· Be a good role model with excellent communication skills
· Work safely and can promote safe working practises within the wider team
· Have a wide-set of skills using and managing modern farm machinery
