We have a job vacancy for a capable, knowledgeable, fit and professional groom and rider for 2026 and beyond. This is a permanent full time live in or out position working with a team of 6 full time and 4 part time staff. We are a BHS approved, friendly, hardworking community of horse people that love our horses and our working environment and along with kind and respectful livery owners and daily teaching clients we have a fun and professional centre. We are an organised mixed yard of livery horses, quality competition horses and a small but busy riding school. Coaching qualifications are an advantage but equally if you are a super groom and talented rider this could be what you are looking for and we would be interested in talking to you. All staff have lots of opportunities to further their career and qualifications and have lots of riding opportunities with weekly tuition to improve skills. This is a 5.5 day week with at least one weekend day off a week. The salary starts at £28'570 for over 21's live in with all utility bills paid and a greatly reduced rent. This rises to £29'750 in April. Live out salary starts at £30'420. All tuition, lunches, coffee ( yes we have a fancy coffee machine) training fees and some exam fees are included in the package. You have a total of 33 days paid holiday each year with either NY or Christmas off. We also encourage a longer 10 day holiday in the Summer to reset. Pension etc and all the usual legal employment criteria met. We sadly cannot take apprentices, and people that have not worked full time in the industry before. We would also prefer someone with qualifications. We are unable to house any more horses and if you live in, sadly we are not able to have any pets. References must be available and you must have an up to date CV We will be interviewing in the next two weeks *please note, we have quality fit and schooled horses, both competition and schoolmaster riding school horses. You absolutely must be riding to at least BHS stage 2/3 level. Be happy to school in company and on your own, perform and understand lateral movements, hack out fit event horses in Cirencester Park, jump up to at least 80cms confidently and be willing to continue to develop through weekly staff lessons. You must be able to lunge confidently.
