Groom / Rider

We are seeking a confident and enthusiastic Groom/Rider to join our busy eventing and livery yard, home to horses ranging from quality 4-year-olds to established 4* event horses. This role offers a fantastic mix of yard work, riding, and training opportunities for the right candidate. ​ What the role involves: Working as part of a supportive team to complete all daily yard duties Handling and caring for fit, young, and competition horses Riding a variety of horses, including young horses and fit eventers Opportunity to school horses and receive regular coaching Assisting with daily operations to maintain high standards of horse welfare Potential to travel to shows and competitions depending on experience ​ Skills & Requirements: Confident handling and riding young, fit, and competition horses A positive, willing-to-learn attitude is essential Good communication and teamwork skills Reliable, motivated, and committed to high standards Previous experience with competition horses is preferred but not essential ​ Training & Development: We can provide training in all areas of horse care, including: Clipping Plaiting Trimming Producing horses for competition Turnout to a professional standard ​ For candidates seeking more of a riding-focused role, plenty of riding is available—but you must also be happy to contribute fully to all yard duties. ​ Additional Opportunities: Possibility to bring your own horse, with training available from a 5★ rider for the right person Fun, friendly working atmosphere Opportunity to work with a range of talented event horses Competitive pay based on experience If you’re passionate about horses, keen to develop your skills, and confident in both handling and riding competition horses, we’d love to hear from you.
