Horse Care Hospital Yard Team Member Norwich Permanent full time 40 hours per week as per rota (to include weekends) 7.30am to 4.00pm (Support with the late evening site checks will be arranged as additional hours and on a shared rota basis). We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with experience in horse care to join the Hospital Yard team at our veterinary unit in Hapton South of Norwich. Working under the supervision of the Hapton Yard Co-ordinators (HYC), you will work as part of a team providing high quality care to our equine inpatients. This is a busy environment, and the ideal candidate should understand the importance of effective communication, observation, and unified teamwork. They will need to liaise regularly with line management and will be able to follow instructions as well as using their own initiative. A sound knowledge of horses and their welfare and proven background of working with horses is necessary, as is familiarity with Health and Safety Regulations. Salary £23,795.20 for 21s’ and over £17,888.00 for 18-20s’ In addition, we offer shift workers a premium pay rate on Sundays (time and a half) and Bank Holidays (double time).
