We are looking for a stablehand / groom on a fixed term from 21 Jul -> 15 Oct, to help prepare thoroughbred yearlings for the upcoming sales in Oct. This individual will be dealing with fresh thoroughbred yearlings, and for that reason they would need to have experience in handling hot-blood youngsters (Thoroughbred, event or show-jump stock). Previous work on a Thoroughbred stud or racing yard, would be preferred.
Daily duties would involve:
• Basic horse care (Mucking out, brushing down, feeding, sweeping etc)
• Basic exercise tasks (Hand walking & potentially lunging).
Hours:
• 20 - 25hrs a week: 07:30 - 10:30 (Mon - Fri/Sat)
For a strong candidate, we would have flexibility in the start time & the amount of days worked per week.
