Reflecting on 2025: More Equine jobs and more opportunities.

As 2025 comes to a close, we’ve been taking a moment to look back at what this year has meant for TallyHO Talent and, more importantly, what it’s meant for the people who’ve used it.

Because at its heart, TallyHO has never been “just” a job board. It’s a place where horse people (and people who want to become horse people professionally) can discover what’s out there, feel encouraged, and take that next step toward work they actually care about.

A year of connecting people to real equine jobs

Throughout 2025, TallyHO Talent has shared and promoted a wide variety of equine-related job opportunities, and that simple act has had a ripple effect.

For some, it’s been the first time they realised how many different roles exist within the equine world. Not everyone wants to be in the saddle all day, and not every role is “traditional yard work” either. From admin to marketing, racing yards to stud roles, retail to grooming and stable support, the range of posts this year has helped people see the industry differently.

And once you can see what’s possible, it becomes much easier to go after it.

Introducing more people to TallyHO Temps  and helping freelancing take off

In 2025, TallyHO Talent signposted people to TallyHO Temps and helped plenty of people realise the option of freelancing.

These people realised:

They didn’t just want to apply for jobs.

They wanted flexibility. Control. Variety. A fresh start.

We've loved watching people on TallyHO Temps:

  • take their first steps into equine freelancing
  • return to the industry after time away
  • “restart” with confidence, because something had been sparked again

Sometimes, all it takes is seeing an opportunity at the right time, a role, a post, a conversation, and suddenly the idea of working with horses feels possible again.

Hot to Trot: A Brilliant Partnership

Another highlight of 2025 has been teaming up with Hot to Trot.

Partnering with a like-minded equine business has helped TallyHO reach new people, new circles, and new energy, and it’s been a reminder of how powerful collaboration can be in this industry.

The Hot to Trot gift voucher competition was a perfect example of that: loads of people got involved, entered, shared, and followed along. It didn’t just create excitement; it introduced even more people to what TallyHO Talent and TallyHO Temps are building.

And that’s exactly the kind of momentum we want more of.

Looking ahead to 2026

If 2025 has been about building awareness, widening the net, and helping people rediscover opportunity, then 2026 is about doing even more of it!

We’re going into the new year with one clear goal:

To help even more people who want to work in the equine industry make it happen.

Whether someone is looking for their first role, returning after a break, or exploring freelancing for the first time, we want TallyHO Talent (and TallyHO Temps) to be the place they start.
